Phonics Sense
Yohei Ueda ("we", "us", or "our") built Phonics Sense as a free-to-download application with optional subscriptions. This page explains our policies regarding information when you use the App.
The App does not require account creation, login, or registration. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or precise location.
However, the third-party services described below may process device, purchase, and usage information under their own policies to provide subscriptions, analytics, and optional advertisements.
The App stores the following data on your device using SharedPreferences:
Your detailed learning record and spaced-repetition schedule are not uploaded to an account or synchronized to our own server. The "Reset Learning Data" option deletes learning progress, scores, streaks, and history. Other preferences and purchase status may remain until you reset them separately or remove the App.
Firebase Analytics receives app-use events such as screen views, game and lesson names, game scores and question counts, completion events, selected interface language, and technical information provided by the Firebase SDK. These events help us understand reliability and feature use. They are separate from the detailed learning record stored on your device.
RevenueCat and the applicable app store process an app-specific customer identifier, product and entitlement information, transaction records, storefront information, and technical information needed to offer, verify, and restore subscriptions.
For free users who choose to request a rewarded advertisement, Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform may process advertising identifiers where permitted, consent choices, IP-derived information, device and app information, ad interactions, and diagnostic data. iOS may ask for tracking permission where required. You can deny that permission and manage consent or device privacy settings; core phonics lessons remain available without granting tracking permission.

We do not sell personal information. Third-party providers process data as needed to provide their services and according to their own privacy policies.
Phonics Sense uses Google Forms for bug reports and feedback. When you submit the form, the inquiry category, details, and any other information you choose to enter are sent to Google. The form is configured not to collect your Google Account email address. We use submitted information to review the inquiry and improve the App.
The App is intended for learners of different ages. A parent or guardian should supervise a child's use, purchases, feedback submissions, and optional rewarded advertisements, and should review the privacy and purchase settings on the child's device. We do not ask a child to create an account or directly provide a name, email address, phone number, or precise location.

Local learning data remains until you reset it or remove the App. Third-party providers retain information under their own policies and settings. You may deny iOS tracking permission, decline an optional rewarded ad, manage advertising consent where offered, cancel a subscription in the applicable store, and avoid submitting the feedback form.

Store purchase and provider-held data may need to be handled directly by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or the applicable provider.
